Eye-opener: Are Mavs now in control of NBA Finals?

The thought that it is better to give than receive got to the Miami Heat Thursday night.

First the Heat gave away Game 2 of the NBA Finals. In the process they gave a tremendous amount of joy to all the fans who have loathed this team since "The Decision" and who have been wishing for this type of implosion.

They also gave away home court advantage making it possible that the Mavericks, who got nine points in the final 2:44 from Dirk Nowitzki, can win a title without having to win another road game.

The only thing the Heat received in return is the derision a team gets when it blows a 15-point leave.

"We didn't play the way that we normally play, so they deserved it and we didn't," Dwyane Wade said.

Whether the giving began and ended Thursday or whether the Heat has given away a title that everyone was predicting just 48 hours before will be proven out Sunday in Dallas.
